Expert counselling for mental health well-being

Your Journey to Emotional Wellness Begins Here

Hello and Welcome! My name is Emmaline, and I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and an accredited professional member of the National Counselling Society. With 25 years of experience in the NHS as a Registered Mental Health Nurse and a specialist practitioner in Health Visiting, my background, combined with my counselling qualification, equips me to offer compassionate and person-centred therapy to support you on your counselling journey.

I have had the privilege throughout my Counselling training to work for an amazing Domestic Abuse Charity called Cleanslate. I specialise in this area, and I am recognised as one of the charity's Counsellors.

I offer my expertise and knowledge regarding attachment and childhood development. I have worked closely with parents in the perinatal period and have a concrete understanding of how to navigate being a parent and the challenges that comes with this, especially if you have a mental health illness.

Come as you are!

Considering Counselling?

Mental health care is just as important as our physical health care, and it can be a challenge to take the positive steps to address it. Therefore, considering and starting counselling can feel like a daunting decision; however, once you take that step, it can be a positive and life-changing experience.

Our mental health can be invisible to the open eye as we try to process our experiences and how that impacts on our feelings, thoughts and behaviours in our own unique internal way.  I recognise that everyone's journey is different, and progress can depend on many factors. At times, what we need most is a safe, non-judgmental and caring space so we can explore, gain greater understanding and clarity.

Supporting your mental health is at the heart of my work, and I believe that taking time for yourself is an important step towards healing. There is only one you, and you are worthy of care, attention, and the opportunity to move forward into your future as the best and most authentic version of yourself.
